What to do in Bahrain?, the Pearl of the Gulf! Did you know they celebrate a Seawater Festival?

Have you heard about the sea water festival in Bahrain? Yes, that's right! In this archipelago, sea water is celebrated in a very special way, demonstrating the Bahraini people's deep respect for their marine environment.

Bahrain is a country with a rich history, dating back to ancient civilizations such as the Dilmuns. However, the country is not stuck in the past, and nowadays, it perfectly combines tradition and modernity.

In terms of unmissable tourist attractions, the list is long. First, we have the capital, Manama, with its stunning skyscrapers. Next up is Bahrain Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to 2300 BC. There is also Al Dar Island, perfect for a relaxing day at the beach. The Lost City of Dilmun, an important archaeological site, is also a must-visit. And, of course, don't forget to explore the Pearl of Bahrain, a land reclamation project made up of residences, hotels and shops. We were in Bahrain and did everything by car, including going to Dammam in Saudi Arabia.

The country's currency is the Bahraini Dinar and the official language is Arabic, but English is widely spoken. Brazilians will need an entry visa, but don't worry, the process is very straightforward and can be done online.

Talking about the socioeconomic situation, Bahrain has a diversified economy, with a strong presence in the financial, oil and tourism sectors. The country is a constitutional monarchy, ruled by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

As for traveling around Bahrain, costs can vary depending on your travel style. But on average, you can expect to spend around 100 to 150 dollars per day.

Now, returning to our curiosity: the sea water festival. This unique celebration takes place annually and is a way for locals to express their love and appreciation for the sea, which has been an important part of their culture and economy for centuries.

So folks, this is Bahrain. A country of contrasts, where old meets new, and where the sea is more than just a body of water, it is a vital part of national identity. And you, what do you think about this? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
