The province of Fergana (in Uzbek: Fergana viloyati, in Russian: Ферганский вилоят) is an administrative division (viloyati) of Uzbekistan, in the eastern part of Uzbek territory, with its capital in the city of Fergana. The local economy is based on agriculture, especially cotton production and also sericulture. The climate is typically continental.
